Project #2: N. Polk St Corridor Project

Project Scope: A collaborative project between Turner Winston Block and the Kings Highway Conservation District that will include identifying and beautifying green spaces along N. Polk St corridor between Canty and Kings Highway. A phased master planned is being formulated that may include adding hardscaping, park features, improved lighting, better signage, bettering a DART bus stop and possibly widening the sidewalk to improve the pedestrian experience of our neighborhood.

Project Area: See an online map of the area and identified public spaces.

Funding: Planning has already begun, while a matching grant will be proposed in late May through the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League.  Kings Highway will be contributing funds for the matching grant, and Turner Winston Block will be hosting a yard sale fundraiser on May 22nd, 8-2pm. for this project.
