TWB to present at Kings Highway general meeting, 04/28/2010

Vacant green spaces for future projects

Areas being considered for future better block beautification

The TWB committee has gotten the attention of the Kings Highway Conservation District leadership based on the momentum of what our neighbors have accomplished.  Our block lies within and is adjacent to KHCD’s eastern boundaries, which are a very visable corridor into the Tyler Arts District and Kings Highway.

A presentation about Turner Winston Block will be given on Thursday, April 28 at 7pm with our local councilman, Dave Neumann, in attendance.  KHCD’s leadership is very excited about the prospects of beautifying our vacant green spaces along N. Polk St and have funding that we could tap into in order to accomplish some of our project goals.  If you’re interested in attending email Jonathan Braddick

In the coming weeks, we will be putting together a master plan and design for the area’s identified.  Everyone’s input is needed, so we will be having a general block meeting to discuss in the coming weeks.  Please look for more information on our web forum and here on our website.
